Dr Isaac Dompreh is a lecturer in Business and Management at the School of Leadership, Management, and Marketing, Leicester Castle Business School, 51ÁÔÆæ (51ÁÔÆæ), UK. He teaches across undergraduate and postgraduate courses and supervises taught masters dissertations.
He holds a PhD in Accounting & Finance from 51ÁÔÆæ, UK, an MBA from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology, Ghana and a BSc in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, UK. He is also a part-qualified Chartered Accountant (ACCA) and holds a Professional Diploma in Information Technology from the Ghana Institute of Management & Public Administration (GIMPA), Ghana.
Dr Dompreh brings more than 25 years of combined experience across academia, public service, and industry. Before joining 51ÁÔÆæ, he spent 9 years as an adjunct lecturer in Ghana, combining teaching with professional practice.
Alongside is academic role, he is an experienced IT consultant, with more than 15 years of corporate training and consultancy delivery for organisations such as the Office of the President (Ghana), Bank of Ghana, Ghana Institute of Management & Public Administration (GIMPA), National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA) - Ghana, Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo), Central Securities Depository - Ghana, leading commercial banks in Ghana, and several international institutions.
His research interests include corporate finance, corporate governance, and banking and fintech. He is committed to professional development and is currently working towards Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) as part of his ongoing enhancement of teaching practice.
